Our Story

A Golf School and A Trip That Never Really Ended.

OuttaBounds started with a group of lifelong friends who grew up playing golf together across the Algarve and the rest of Portugal. What began as a weekly Saturday round grew to become the foundation for this company. Built by experienced golfers, for golfers looking to enjoy a destination in a unique way, hosted personally by people who know these courses and the region inside and out.

Meet the Team

João Antunes

CEO & CTO

MSc in Computer Science and playing golf since the age of 6. The IT wizard who somehow made OuttaBounds real. Johnny worked as a software engineer in the travel industry in the south of France, exploring the experiences Côte d’Azur had to offer, and bringing that knowledge to elevate the unique experiences we create in the Algarve.

Rodrigo Santos

Golf Travel Specialist & Operations

Graduated in Tourism. After playing most courses in Portugal, he golfed around Australia. The daydreamer who got everyone together for this project. Single-digit handicapper with chipping yips. Worked as a golf travel marketeer, caddie , greenkeeper and soon a golf coach. His experience makes him the perfect host for your golf trip.

Samuel Pereira

Head of Revenue & Operations

Graduated in Hotel and Revenue Management, Sam has vast experience in the Algarve tourism industry and has worked in golf and hotel reservations for years. He’s the one with the most experience on how to keep the operation flowing. When our ideas start to resemble his unforgiving slice, he keeps the group grounded.
