West Algarve
A week of discovering the Algarve one petisco at a time.

For those who believe the best way to discover a place is to eat your way through it.
During October and November, Portimão comes alive with the Rota do Petisco. A food festival that for a few weeks, 125 restaurants along with chefs and cafés create special menus that make it possible to experience an incredible range of Portuguese flavours while restaurant hopping and discovering the city.
Our Tapas Festival + Golf journey combines that food adventure with three rounds of golf, local wine and plenty of time to explore.
Across three evenings, one of our hosts will explore the Rota do Petisco with you around Zona Ribeirinha, Praia da Rocha and Alvor, tasting different petiscos, desserts and local drinks along the way.

Get your official Rota do Petisco passport and get ready for three dedicated food-hopping days.
Some items may change depending on the selected arrival date.

US, UK, Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand passport holders do not currently require a Visa for short stays in Portugal (under 90 days).
However, from late 2026, an ETIAS travel authorisation will be required to enter the Schengen Zone, including Portugal. It’s a simple online application, and we will provide detailed guidance closer to your departure.

For this pack, we recommend Faro Airport (FAO) for both flights. We can also provide a transfer to Lisbon (LIS) or Seville (SVQ) airports.
Our packs include transfers for all golf rounds, activities, and airport trips.
If you prefer, you can also rent a car at the airport when arriving.
For unexpected trips, taxis and app-based car services such as Uber or Bolt also work well.
The Rota do Petisco is all about discovering Portuguese food and local Algarve flavours. Expect traditional petiscos, seafood, grilled meats, regional specialities, desserts and local drinks, with each restaurant offering its own menu.
With 12 stops across the three evenings, every day brings something different. from simple local favourites to more creative dishes from participating chefs. It’s a relaxed way to taste a wide variety of Portuguese cuisine without committing to a full meal at every restaurant.
